Canmore Wedding at the Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club
The ceremony for this Stewart Creek wedding was magical. The day started with both of them getting ready at separate hotels with their friends and family. They had their first look near the Three Sisters Lookout and spent a couple hours together before reading their vows.
The proposal story from the couple…
Brittany would not stop badgering me to get a ring. We had a wonderful mini vacation to Canmore a few weeks prior and I think everyone expected me to propose. It didn’t happen…because I didn’t want it to be obvious but mostly because the ring I had ordered wasn’t in yet…. Fast forward I got her sister to distract her so I could ask her parents. Then I got her mom to distract her so that her sister could help me pack a bag (big mistake, more on that later) I planned a hike, ha Ling Peak.
On our way there we stopped to get bagels and Brittany goes on a big rant about how she wants to get married and I just need to get on with it. What she didn’t know was it was happening. I raised my voice to get her off the scent. It was a quiet awkward ride up to the mountain. We settled in again once the hike began.
After what felt like an eternity and many close calls/false alarms (I was really nervous and probably trigger happy) we finally made it to the top. Surrounded by shirtless f*ck boy summers blaring dubstep on a speaker. We got them to take a picture and Brittany wanted to leave. It was really windy and absolutely freezing. Finally the group of guys left and we were alone. I tell to look down at Canmore and I’ll get a cute picture of her from behind. She turns around and I’m down on one knee ring in hand.
Nigel- Will…..
Brittany- Are you F$%KING SERIOUS!!!
And that’s how we are got engaged without me even really getting to ask.
